Wayward Barbershop
Editorial single-page site for a Schorem-trained barbershop in Barrie, Ontario. Booking happens in 90 seconds — chair, barber and time picked before the visitor finishes scrolling.

The problem we were hired to solve.
Generic small-business template with stock barbershop photos, vague 'book online' button leading to a third-party widget that asked for too much info. Five barbers with international training, treated like a single faceless 'team'.
Editorial scroll that reads like a lifestyle magazine, opens at the brand's actual interior, surfaces each barber as a person, prices three services up-front, and puts the booking widget where the visitor's already convinced.
Context
A five-barber shop with serious craft credentials — most of the team trained at Schorem Academy in Rotterdam — was running on a generic small-business template. The site didn't reflect the lifestyle brand the owners had built in person, didn't surface the barber roster, and put booking three clicks deep behind a generic widget.
Approach
Single-page editorial in a dark + warm-gold palette tuned to the shop's interior. Custom hero with shop atmosphere photography over a tattoo-inspired logo treatment. Five barber profile cards, each with Schorem credentials and personality copy, replace the standard 'meet the team' grid. Service grid with three transparent prices (haircut $35–50, beard, straight razor) — no 'request a quote'. Mangomint booking embedded inline so chair-barber-time gets picked in under 90 seconds. Curated retail row pulls Crown Shaving Co, Reuzel, Layrite, Historic Brands. Instagram, TikTok, Facebook feeds threaded into the page so the brand feels alive instead of static.

What the client said.
Site went live and our barber DMs blew up — clients telling us which chair they wanted, by name, before walking in. We're a five-barber shop, not a chain. The new site finally looks the way the shop feels.
