MIRA
A twice-daily voice ritual with the version of you who already crossed the bridge. She speaks in your voice. She remembers what you said you'd do.

The problem we were hired to solve.
Self-improvement apps fall apart on the relationship axis. Streaks shame you on day three. Generic chatbots greet you fresh every morning and forget you by lunch. Voice clones are a TikTok novelty, not a practice. People who tried Calm, Stoic, Rosebud, Replika told us the same thing — useful for two weeks, abandoned by month two. The problem isn't the content; it's the absence of someone to come back to.
One persona, voiced in your own voice, tuned to your goals, present twice a day at fixed appointments. Memory that compounds — by week three Mira is calling you on lies you told yourself in week one. By month three the ritual feels like a standing dinner with someone you respect. The someone is you, in a few years. The relationship is long on purpose. The conversation is short on purpose.
Context
Personal-AI in 2026 has two failure modes. The companion apps (Replika, Character.ai, Friend) are always-on and emotionally noisy — availability kills ritual. The journaling apps (Rosebud, Stoic) are generic GPT-4o prompts wrapped in a UI — there's no character to come back to. Meanwhile MIT Media Lab ran two RCTs on a 'Future You' protocol — one conversation with an AI-generated future self reduced anxiety and strengthened future-self continuity in 532 participants. Validated mechanism, no product. We saw the gap.
Approach
MIRA is one persona — yours, five to ten years ahead. She arrives twice a day. Sunrise: 60 seconds, she speaks first, after reading your calendar, sleep, and yesterday's debrief. Dusk: 90 seconds, she listens last and asks one contextual question drawn from the day. No chat in between — availability is what we removed. Her voice is your voice, cloned during a 15-minute Anchoring Rite at onboarding, then slowed half a step and warmed half an octave so it lands as someone you would listen to. Memory is structured: promises, patterns, milestones, excuses — Mem0 + Letta layered with pgvector. Reasoning runs on Claude 4.5 and GPT-5 with an open system prompt. Tools: read-only Calendar, HealthKit, Tasks. The ritual is the product. The constraint is the product.

- ◆MIT Future-You protocol — 532-person RCT shows reduced anxiety and stronger future-self continuity
- ◆Anchoring rite — 15-minute single-session onboarding with 5-question voice recording and persona setup
- ◆Agent context — read-only Calendar, HealthKit, Tasks integration so Mira speaks with day-aware grounding

Results
Cohort 1 anchored 100 beta users in March 2026. Waitlist crossed one thousand by mid-April; 73 of 100 Forever-tier seats reserved. The MIT protocol replication held — early-cohort data shows the same anxiety / continuity / motivation deltas the lab measured. iOS launches Q3 2026. The studio is the only owner. We built it because we wanted to be the users.

What the client said.
I didn't expect to cry on the first call. I expected gimmick. The voice was mine, six years older. She said one sentence about something I'd told no one. I sat down on the kitchen floor.
